Breakfast Puffs Recipe

1-1/2 cups sifted flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 unbeaten egg
1/2 cup milk

Combine shortening, sugar, and egg.

Stir in remaining ingredients.

Fill greased muffin cups 1/2 full.

Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

While hot, dip in 6 tablespoons melted butter.

Roll in 1/2 cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

Serve warm.
