I hope everyone out there is enjoying their Sunday!
Last night, I bought a little book that has over 100 smoothie and summer drink recipes in it. Of course, it was a check-out line purchase. I can’t help but pick up every single magazine while I’m waiting.
The collection made my mouth water and wish even more for warm summer days!
This morning, I decided that since it was Sunday and Sunday begins with the same letter as smoothie….I am going to start Smoothie Sundays!!!
I want to share all of these fantastic looking concoctions with you, but I’m sure you would all stop reading if all I did was put up a smoothie/drink recipe everyday. We need food, too, people!!! So, from here on out, we will have Smoothie Sunday. Or Spritzer Sunday. Or Slushie Sunday. Or Milkshake Sunday. Hmmmmm….we will have to work on that one.
Alright! Here we go! We are kicking off Smoothie Sunday!
Pumpkin Spice Smoothie
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1 1/4 cups vanilla frozen yogurt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup cubed or crushed ice
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
I decided to make this flavor because I had that leftover pumpkin from when I made this. Now, all of my pumpkin is gone. I guess it’s just in time, though. Warm weather will be coming right around the corner and any thoughts of pumpkin will be far, far away.
