NASHVILLE (AP) – Scotty Pippen Jr. has decided to return to Vanderbilt for his junior season after testing his options for the NBA draft. Vanderbilt introduced that Pippen will return for the upcoming season. Pippen introduced in April he would test his draft standing and never sign with an agent. Pippen, who began 53 of his first 54 games played, was AllSoutheastern Conference and ranked second in the league in scoring with an average of 20.8 factors a game. That set a faculty scoring record for sophomores. Additionally ranked as the seventh-highest scoring season in program history. He also had the ninth-most assists per recreation at school history final season averaging 4.9 per game. Pippen was third in the SEC and ninth nationally making 142 free throws and second within the SEC, averaging 1.77 steals a game. He set an SEC Tournament file for many made free throws with out a miss in a single tournament, making all 25 over two games. Pippen will join graduate transfers Liam Robbins from Minnesota and Dayton’s Rodney Chatman together with four-star recruits Gabe Dorsey and Peyton Daniels beneath coach Jerry Stackhouse with the Commodores. Pippen’s father, Scottie, played 17 seasons in the NBA, received six championships with the Chicago Bulls and was named one of the NBA’s 50 Greatest Gamers in NBA History.
